We were planning on going to a real pumpkin patch this year but ended up at this church by my work. I really don't think Brooklyn will ever know the difference!! Brooke thought that sitting in the hay and throwing it at us was the best part of the whole thing. She was also very excited to see all of the "ball-balls"(Pumpkins). The entire time we were there she was saying "ooooohhh... ball ball.....ooooohhhh.... ball ball." Brooklyn is obsessed with balls of any shape or size. We can't walk through an old navy without buying her a ball!! We have been trying to buy her girly toys and stuffed animals but she wants nothing to do with them and goes straight to the balls. Anyway we had the most perfect pumpkin picked out for Brooklyn, but when we went to go pay for it we realized that once again we were un-prepared and didn't bring any cash!! So we will be going back later this week to purchase the pumpkin of Brooklyn's dreams!

So we have some news for all of you. We have kept it secret for long enough. Krista is pregnant!!!!!!!!!!! We are so excited! She is like 14 weeks (I'm sure that is wrong, but it is close either way). A couple weeks ago we got to see the little creature on an ultra sound. He was crazy!!! We don't know that it is he yet, but I hope if I say "he" enough it will be a boy. We don't really care what it is as long as it is healthy. Mom is feeling pretty good. She is tired, but I don't know if that is from being pregnant or because of our difficult little girl that does not like to sleep. If she only knew how awesome sleep is and how much of it she will want when she is our age. Krista is due April 14. I can't wait. I miss Brooklyn when she was that age. She was so quiet and sweet. She never yelled at me, never threw stuff at me, and I could get so much done. I know those days are gone forever, but that is ok I know how blessed we are to have her and the new little one, and good lord willing more to come. I can't wait to see everyone in December. We look forward to seeing all of you, eating SUSHI (you guys have converted me), and in & out burgers. I hope all is well.

It has been a wicked crazy week. We have been trying to break Brooklyn's horrible sleep habits. She had been getting up several times a night and screaming until we brought her into our bed (Yeah not a good idea, it just reinforces bad habits). At the time it was worth it so we could get some sleep, but then she started to think our bed meant it was play time. I'm not so playful at 4 am, so I did not think it was cute (Several times I thought about putting her in the dog crate). Thanks to some wonderful advice from Candace and her mom we are slowly gaining our sanity back. She has only been getting up once and we ignore her so she soon gets the hint and goes back to sleep ( we owe you guys huge, thanks a million). Do to the good sleep she has been in a great mood and has been a very funny girl lately. I have no idea where she comes up with some of the stuff she does. Just see the pics.

Ok so we promised that we would tell some stories about events this summer. I want to start with Brooklyn's first birthday. I cannot believe my baby girl is 1!!! We had an awesome party. We had it at a park by our house. Other than it being like hot as heck it was perfect. I have never seen so many people turn out for a birthday party. There was at least 75 people there. we has yummy food from Rib City and cake from Das Myer's (the same place that we got our wedding cake). we had a really good time. It was so nice to spend this day with our close family and friends. We wish we could have had all of our family there, but we know that you all would have been there if you could have been, Don't worry Brooklyn ate cake for all of you. We want to thank everyone for all the presents (We can hardly walk in her room). Speaking of that, who ever gave her the talking/singing dog I'm going to get your kid a drum set :). It was a great day, I wish all of you could have been there. That's it for now, but I will make sure we blog again soon. Love you guys!!!
ps. Candace, Krista wanted to edit this post and thank you for the present.

Sorry Candace that we have not blogged soon enough for you :)
I know we have been slacking, but I have been crazy busy studing for a microbiology test. I took the test last night and I swear my teacher speaks a foreign language. It was really hard. but I studied a ton so I'm sure I did good (is that a good enough excuse for you Candace? I see that you have been slacking too, what is your excuse?). This week has been very long. Brooklyn is not sleeping very good. She has been getting up between 2 and 4 thinking it is time to play. When Krista and I tell her she should be sleeping she usually throws something at us and laughs (not so funny). We think she is popping some new teeth, if not and this keeps up does anyone want a baby girl :)? We love her to death but it wicked difficult not getting any sleep. This weekend we celebrated Danny's 16th B-Day. My parents had a really nice party for him on Saturday, It is so scary that he is now driving. At least he is not a dumby like his older brother and is a really good driver. Also speaking of Danny we are so proud of him!!! He is only a sophomore, but he will be starting as the varsity full back this week (you are the man D!!!). Last week He helped his team when a really close game against the #1 team in the league (not anymore) with a 7 yard reception and a huge block that allowed the QB to throw the winning touchdown. Krista and I are doing good. We are just working super hard and trying to keep up with our little girl.
